The KGB is one of the most versatile cover bands in the Southeast. Having a six piece band, including five vocalists who are able to share lead and harmony parts, gives the KGB a sound like no other.
The KGB covers hits from all musical genres, ranging from bluegrass to classic rock, Pink Floyd to Merle Haggard. Some of the crowd favorites include their inspirational rendition of Amazing Grace which features Donny Carpenter on fiddle, The Charlie Daniels Band's infamous "Devil Went Down to Georgia," and "Blackwater" by the Doobie Brothers.
The KGB has been strongly influenced by such legendary artists as the Eagles, Alabama, CCR, Oak Ridge Boys, and the Beatles, along with being deeply rooted in traditional gospel music. Band leader, Kerry Gilbert has also been influenced by Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves, and Johnny Cash.
